being 20 is sometimes hard!

i just finished reading this book, written by dewi pravitasari.

the book title is already attractive, plus the book cover is orange-color... AND the content: it sooooooo reflects girls' quarter life crisis, like mine WOOF WOOF~

the story starts when Sara hates to go to Management school because her parents so wanting her to take care of their business someday in the near future. all she wants is psychology major. his older brother already in civil engineering so definitely can't take over the family business.

crazy little girl failed her business school entry test on purpose! she sleeps on the test HAHAHAHAHA so her way to psychology is wide open since then. the prideful parents send her to Paris.... and before she goes there, her parents introduce her to Zani, their friend's son who reside in Paris in hope so they can be bf and gf. crazily enough, she instead falls in love with his brother, Krisna.. while Zani also likes her... and the story quite explains how typical interesting-complicated-fun-happy-sad triangle of love is. it also shares how twenties survive abroad from doing part time at pizza place up till at LV showroom, and how bad those twenties want to survive there instead of going back for good back to Jakarta.

when Sara reaches 25, she wants to get married as she worries that all of her friends are married and having kids. she asks his guy who have lived with her in the past 4 years about their relationship and happens that the guy is not ready for a marriage yet! both are described depressed as one of them falls on the alcohol, while the other falls on the extreme of having an affair. ... and the relationship is at the end.

Sara can't handle the pressure and finally decides to go back to Jakarta. With her parents' support, she easily can open a clinic. and here we go the parents act. Her parents keeps reminding her of her age, that she needs to get married. Again, her parents introduce her with this guy and that guy but no one can suit well. When there is one guy that she really loves, her father does NOT give approval for that the guy is having a different religion and he thinks the guy is a little too old for her... yet the age different is just 5! the story also shares..... when reality checks in, and some people just feel that they have bad happenings, fortune teller might be an option HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

at the end, Sara get married when she is 32 with a friend of his ex girlfriend, whom her parents like. she initially doesn't love him.... but over time, she is or at least she pretend that she is.....

TOP book, really reflects me and you! Too be honest, i read the book with tears and smile. You can feel that you got this similarity in the Sara character and her life. You are confirmed that you are not alone of being twenties, there are lots of people out there who feel the same as you do... they want to do what they like and not what their parents think it's the best for them. You are taught to be positive in solving your life crisis. So constructive and entertaining... smart author, captured everything that twenties are worrying: marriage and money!

get the book now! what i have written is just part of it, there are more bunches of interesting detail. i am out now.
